The Process

Consultation
Firstly, we like to start all potential Clients with a Brow Consult. This is a 15 minute consultation and allows the Technician get a better feel as to what you’re looking for when it comes to your Brows. Shape, color, boldness, style, the healing process, when to book and many other factors will be discussed and any questions you have will be answered. From there, you can schedule your first and second session. Consultations can be scheduled online or you can call the office at any time.

First Session
The First Session takes about 2 hours between mapping out your shape, numbing, the actual tattoo’ing process and home-care review. The process causes minimal discomfort, but the Brow area may be slightly red and swollen at the end. Now as mentioned before, Semi-Permanent Brow Makeup is not traditional Tattoo’ing. This is why you need 2 sessions in the beginning. Now after your first Session, because of the swelling and redness, the tone and shape may be slightly off visually immediately following the process. Your Technician will go over everything with you, what to expect and how to care for your Brows. If adjustments need to be made, that will take place during your second session in 6-8 weeks following your first session.

Second Session
Because Semi-Permanent Brow Makeup is not permanent, sometimes the pigment lightens a little too much or doesn’t take evenly throughout the Brow. No worries, this will all be corrected during this second session along with shape and tone if needed. This is also an opportunity to add more boldness if desired. A lot of times, Clients decide they actually love having their Brows done and decide they want to go a little bolder this time around. We love this and preferably like to ease our Clients into their desired shape opposed to starting off with a Brow that’s a little too dramatic for the Client right away. Now the process and the home-care is very similar to the first session. The appointment usually isn’t as long as the first session but everything else is pretty much the same. Now from here, this should be the last session before needing a Color Boost in a few years, but some Clients do need a third session to achieve their perfect Brow. This isn’t common but it does happen and is not the Technicians fault. Some skin is more resilient to pigment and at times, the home-care isn’t followed precisely. Scheduling and cost of third session is dependent on the amount of time needed. That will all be discussed before booking.

Color Boosts
Color Boosts are an option and occur at different times for everyone. Again, because Semi-Permanent Tattoo’ing is different from traditional Tattoo’ing, it does fade over time. This is different from person to person depending on how much sun exposure they get, active ingredients in their skincare routine and genetics of their skin. A suggestion we always make is to schedule a Color Boost when you feel like the Brows are beginning to become not as noticeable as the once were. This can happen after 1-3 years after having your Brows done initially and usually only one Color Boost should be needed, UNLESS the Brows faded dramatically or if you’re in need of real enhancement in color and shape. Sometimes a Client will come in for a Color Boost, wanting more dramatic Brows from their first time and this is totally fine, but may require two sessions.
Different Semi-Permanent Brow Makeup Options
-
Microblading
Microblading creates natural, hair-like strokes using a manual hand tool to enhance the shape and fullness of your brows. This technique is ideal for those who want a soft, realistic look that mimics the appearance of real brow hair.
-
Powder Brows
Powder brows are created using a semi-permanent tattoo machine that gently layers pigment for a soft, shaded effect—similar to a filled-in makeup look. This technique is perfect for clients who prefer more definition and a polished finish.
-
Combo Brows
Combo brows blend the best of both worlds—crisp microbladed strokes at the front of the brows with soft shading through the body and tail. This technique offers a natural yet defined look that suits most skin types and styles.
-
Micro-feather’ing
Micro-feather’ing is a subtle version of microblading designed to softly enhance brows that are already full but have sparse or uneven areas. Using a few delicate, hair-like strokes, this technique adds fullness and balance without changing your natural brow shape. It’s ideal for clients who love their existing brows but want a touch of refinement or extra definition where needed. This can only be booked with approval from the Brow Technician
Contradictions
Semi-Permanent Brow Makeup isn’t suitable for everyone. These services should be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have uncontrolled diabetes, bleeding disorders, or are taking blood thinners. Clients currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, or those with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, or infections in the brow area, should also postpone treatment. It’s important to wait at least two to four weeks after receiving Botox, fillers, or chemical peels near the brows, and at least six to twelve months after taking Accutane. Individuals with a history of keloid scarring, recent sunburns, or highly sensitive skin should proceed with caution, as should anyone with known allergies to pigments or topical anesthetics. If you have any medical conditions or are under a physician’s care, please consult your doctor before scheduling to ensure your safety and best results.
